PET++, CCP SyneRBI and CCPi - Software Developer

Nov 2021 - Present: Contributor to collaborative software packages. Developing the functionality of SIRF (main output of SyneRBI) and CIL (main output of CCPi), as well as highlighting and solving issues. Developing an experimental framework for distributed computing. Part of a large collaborative project bench-marking state-of-the-art stochastic iterative reconstruction algorithms. Testing the algorithms on a range of CT and PET datasets, requiring the development of a robust experimental framework.

Oct 2021 - Present: Introduction to Programming & Inverse Problems for Medical Imaging & Numerical Optimisation. Teaching undergraduate students, generating course material/tests, marking exams.

Universität Bremen - Invited Speaker

May 2023: Seminar on PET image reconstruction and the application of Deep Image Prior. Hour-long presentation to AG Technomathematics.

IEEE NSS/MIC/RTSG 2022 - Session Chair

Nov 2022: Short course - Image reconstruction and AI. Twenty minute talk to over 70 researchers on the practicalities of deep learning reconstructions for real data. Two main aspects were highlighted; useful PyTorch data utilities, as well as wrapping external operations within PyTorch for automatic differentiation.

PSMR-TBP 2022 - Course Lead

May 2022: Training school on PET/MR reconstruction. Course lead for image reconstruction using deep learning. An unrolled learned primal-dual algorithm for PET was presented for the demonstration.


Imperial College London - Research Placement

Jun 2019- Aug 2019: Research student in Mechanical Engineering department. The project was developing C++ slicer software for the additive manufacture of titanium micro-lattices to be used in orthopaedics. The project focused on designing a GUI with wxWidgets.

Bleep Volunteer - Helpforce

Feb 2018 - Sep 2020: Volunteer at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Provided company and entertainment to elderly patients and transported them throughout the hospital in wheelchairs. Delivered medication from the pharmacy to the relevant wards. As the first bleep volunteer, helped to shape a pilot scheme which has now been extended to other hospitals.

Felix, Imperial's Student Newspaper - Treasurer and Sport Editor

Oct 2017 - Jun 2020: Two positions at Felix, Imperial's Student Newspaper. The newspaper has 30 issues a year, with 2000 copies distributed weekly. Responsible for the society’s finances and ensuring adequate funding. Headhunted to take over the role of Sports Editor. Nominated in 2018 for the Student Publication Association award for best sports coverage nationally.}
